Cookie notice

This site sets very little. Everything that is not strictly necessary is off until you choose otherwise, and you can change that choice at any time.

The short version

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites. We do not sell data. Analytics runs only if you allow it, and even then it does not record which specific Gospel, prayer or pastoral-support page you read.

The four categories

Strictly necessary — always on

Required for the site to function: security, protecting form submissions from abuse, and remembering the choice you make about these categories. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site does not work.

Preferences — optional

Remembers settings you have chosen, such as a language preference. Off unless you allow it.

Analytics — optional

Aggregate measurement of which pages are used, so we can tell what is useful. Privacy-aware: no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, no individual profiles. Off unless you allow it.

Marketing — optional

Measures whether a campaign brought you to the site. Never applied to Gospel, prayer or pastoral-support pages. Off unless you allow it.

What is actually stored

Your consent choice

Stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only. It records which categories you allowed, the version of this notice you saw, and when. It is not sent to us as an identifier and cannot be used to recognise you.

Analytics

If you allow analytics, our analytics provider records page views in aggregate. Query strings are stripped before anything is recorded. Paths under our Gospel section, the Shepherds Honour enquiry and the safeguarding route are recorded as the section only, with the specific page removed.

Embedded content

Where we embed video, audio or other third-party content, it does not load until you have allowed the relevant category. Nothing embedded on this site loads a tracker before you have chosen.

Changing your mind

You can change your choices at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will cause the choice prompt to appear again on your next visit. We will add a persistent link to reopen the preferences panel directly.

If you use your browser's private mode, or block site storage entirely, this site still works. You will simply be asked about consent each time, because there is nowhere to record your previous answer.

Changes

If we change what we set or add a new category, this notice gets a new version and your previous choice is treated as expired — you will be asked again rather than having a new category applied on the strength of an old answer.
