Safeguarding

Tell us if you are worried about someone.

You do not need to be certain, you do not need evidence, and you do not need to give your name. If something concerns you, that is enough reason to report it.

In development

A designated safeguarding lead has not yet been appointed. Until one is, concerns are reviewed immediately on receipt by the founder's office and, where required, referred to statutory authorities without delay. We are telling you this because you are entitled to know who will read what you send.

Appointing an independent lead and an escalation route outside the founder’s office is a condition of launching our programmes. Both will be named on this page and on our governance page as soon as they are in place.

What happens to a report

  1. It is written to a restricted record and flagged urgent. It does not go to a shared inbox, and the notification our team receives contains a reference, not what you wrote.
  2. It is reviewed immediately on receipt, not at the next working session.
  3. It is assessed, and where required referred to statutory authorities. We will not delay a referral to protect the organisation’s reputation.
  4. Actions, decisions and the reasoning are recorded in an audit log that the person handling the concern cannot edit after the fact.
  5. If you left contact details, you are told what is happening, so far as we are able to tell you.
  6. The record is retained for seven years and then deleted, in line with our retention schedule.

Please use one of the routes above.

We are not accepting concerns through this page yet. A report made here would be stored without a named safeguarding lead being alerted that it had arrived, and a concern that waits to be noticed is worse than one sent somewhere it will be read today.

The emergency and external routes at the top of this page are live now and are not operated by VOG. This form opens once a named safeguarding lead is alerted the moment a concern is submitted, and an escalation route exists that does not pass through the office a concern might be about.
