Governance

Governance and accountability

An organisation that asks for trust, money and people's spiritual confidence should be easy to check. This page collects everything a reasonable person would want to verify — including the parts that are not finished.

Legal entity

Working legal name

Voice of Generations Ltd — subject to legal and name clearance.

Company registration

Pending incorporation.

Charity registration

Pending. We are not yet a registered charity and cannot offer Gift Aid or issue charitable tax receipts.

Registered office

Pending incorporation.

Administrative jurisdiction

United Kingdom, with participant and church activity in additional geographies to be confirmed.

Oversight structure

Four bodies will hold distinct responsibilities, and no one person will sit in a position to both propose and approve high-risk decisions.

Board of directors or trustees

Legal, financial and strategic accountability. Appointments, membership and terms will be published here.

Theological council

Doctrine, teaching standards, the statement of faith, and review of any content that teaches doctrine or spiritual practice.

Safeguarding function

A designated safeguarding lead with direct escalation to the board, independent of programme and fundraising pressure.

Founder's office

Vision stewardship, external representation and programme leadership — accountable to the board, not above it.

Membership of each body will be published on this page as appointments are confirmed.

Conflicts of interest and related parties

The founder is connected to other companies, including technology businesses. That creates an obvious risk that VOG procures from entities connected to its own leadership, and we would rather name it than manage it quietly.

Our position:

  • Any interest held by a director, officer, council member or staff member in a supplier, partner or beneficiary must be declared in a register of interests.
  • A conflicted person does not participate in the decision, does not vote on it, and is not in the room when it is decided.
  • Related-party procurement is assessed against the same documented standard as any other supplier, benchmarked against at least one unrelated alternative, and approved by unconflicted decision-makers.
  • Related-party arrangements that are approved are disclosed publicly, including what was supplied and on what terms.

This applies specifically to any technology, platform or intellectual property supplied to VOG by companies connected to the founder.

Financial controls

Reporting schedule

Annual accounts, with an interim summary at the half-year, published on this site.

Restricted funds

Accepted only where finance has confirmed the restriction can be honoured, tracked and reported. Until then we do not offer restricted giving.

Giving

Public giving is closed. It opens only after charity registration, donation terms, receipting, refund policy and tax treatment are approved.

Founder compensation

To be determined and disclosed by the board under an approved founder covenant.

Data protection and safeguarding contacts

Data controller

Voice of Generations Ltd, once incorporated.

Data protection contact

Named contact pending appointment. Data-subject requests can be sent through our contact page and will be routed to the responsible person.

Designated safeguarding lead

Named lead pending appointment. Concerns raised through the safeguarding route are reviewed immediately on receipt and do not enter general enquiry triage.

How we handle mistakes

We will publish corrections rather than quietly edit. A page that changes materially will carry a change summary and a new effective date. Where we have published a figure that turns out to be wrong, we will publish the correction with the same prominence as the original.

Raising something with us

  • A complaint about our conduct or a decision we have made — use the complaints route.
  • A safeguarding concern about the safety of a child or adult at risk — use the safeguarding route, which bypasses general triage.
  • A whistleblowing disclosure about wrongdoing inside the organisation — use the whistleblowing route, which is set out in the complaints policy.
